报告提纲：a） The G8 structure, evolution and performance (with a little comparison to other plurilateral summit institutions such as the recent East Asian Summit and APEC); b）China's relationship with and role in the G8 since 1975; c）The recent "Heiligendamm Process", established at the 2007 G8 summit, which joined the G8 and its "outreach five" partners led by China in a structured dialogue on specified subjects for the next two years (through to 2009); d）The 2010 G8 summit hosted by Canada and what will happen then, including the emergence of a genuine "G13" with China that will reinforce, rival or replace the Bretton-Woods-UN architecture as the effective centre of global governance for the twenty first century world.
